Why does the first cup of coffee from the pot taste so much better than any other cups from the same pot? - one cup coffee pot
I have a cup of coffee tastes and yesterday I made the first cup better than the 2nd, 3rd, 4th themselves. Why is this so?

The coffee oils oxidize quickly, especially if the coffee is kept hot in a conventional coffee maker, and exposed to the air. You can think more of this "new" taste for the settlement of freshly brewed coffee into a thermal carafe is completed immediately after brewing. This keeps the coffee at serving temperature for hours, but it reduces the oxidation of oils.
Edit:
Randy D: It is not copied and pasted from my link to that answer, or any other will, I'm here. And I drank coffee, thermos flasks, since, oh, about 1963 :-) ...
For me it's a mix between what the "F Luci, and said that" provide copies PAULSC "link. Luci tried to answer, so cool is the true feeling for me." Hot is good but, I Alway said that if you can not drink a good hot cup of coffee as critical as when drinking a bottle of old waste somebody threw together. Oh, no, I'm still very warm / hot, but the temperature is so important, and the better prepared the coffee. What Paul said is true, but does not ring true, as he knows from experience what it is. In addition, you will find a link somewhere with two points. Sorry Paul, but I feel that a relationship between these "answers". May God bless you.
The first cup of coffee is always the best. If the coffee developed in the heating element on coffee.
Try coffee. The taste is not comparable with the filter coffee. You will not be able to come back!
So true! I noticed this because I think it's cool and hot as the likely tastes better, but I love to cook for the coffee, I always take the first drink.
